Few Questions
I just bought all three games. I'm just wondering since i started with nightfall because i thought the idea of dervishes was neat, how would i go back later with my dervish to do the faction and prophecies campaigns?
Also the reason i bought this game was because a few of my friends said the pvp here is way better than WoW. I know i'm probably going to get some biased answers but is that true? I hated how gear reliant wow was and it wasn't really skill related. How is this game in that perspective? Lastly, If i really like pvp is it better to do a pvp-only character or play through the campaigns because your character will be better built rather than just straight to level 20? |

a little ways into nightfall there are quests to take you to tyria/cantha(chack wiki)
Yes, the PvP is way better, and all the gear is balanced If you are playing PvP you really Need a PvP character slot. there is no downside to a PvP character, they have all max gear. |

Gear is almost meaningless in GW. It still matters, but they are all relatively the same and the available mods are never enough to swing a battle in your favor by equipement alone. Same for weapons, although you should consider choosing a weapon to compliment your skillset (ex. if you use attacks that cause bleeding you may want to equip a Barbed mod for your weapon to lengthen bleeding duration on foes).
Since there are only 8 skill slots avaiable at a time, the build options are almost endless, it makes for great variety and creativity. |

the only drawback to using a PVP character (atleast when you are new to the game) is that you have very few mods/skills/runes unlocked on your account. So i would definetly suggest playing the PVE side of it as well for quicker unlocks although you can unlock these things thru the priests that are in each PVP area ... I would recommend checking out this website www.guildwiki.org for more information.

One thing I'd recommend is instead of taking your dervish through prophecies and factions straight away, start a character on that continent (either Cantha or Tyria) and play for a while on there, even if you don't finish the game with that char. You're gonna miss a lot of content if you just play all continents with the one char (unless of course you don't care about the storyline. In which case, ignore everything I just said)
